
Offshore candidates skilled in occupations within some ANZSCO unit groups are now eligible for NSW nomination.
For NSW state nomination, prospective applicants must meet the Department of Home Affairs requirements, state-specific occupation requirements, and have skills in an occupation that is available on our Skilled Occupation List.
To be eligible as an offshore applicant, you must have continuously resided offshore for the past three months.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)
To be considered during NSW invitation round, you must:
- be eligible for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)
- have a valid skills assessment in an occupation that is within an ANZSCO unit group identified on their NSW skilled occupation lists
Below ANZSCO unit groups are now open to offshore under Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)

To be considered during NSW invitation round, you must:
- be eligible for the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491)
- have a valid skills assessment in an occupation that is on the NSW region’s occupation list
Once nomination is approved, the applicants will be eligible to lodge the visa application for Australia Immigration.
